It was a sad day photographing this mature mule deer. I have photographed him for 3 seasons now. After watching him bedded for sometime I was able to get into portrait range when I identified that he was severely injured and barely able to move at all. Titling this photograph last light because it may be the last time he is photographed and one of the last sunrises he experiences.
